Trocaire says its boxes are being sent out to 700,000 homes, schools and churches this week, a tradition which has been ongoing for almost 50 years.
People looking to get a box this year can do so by phoning the charity or filling out a form on its website.
Almost 700,000 homes, schools and churches will begin receiving their Trócaire boxes from today.
