CSO: Average Consumer Prices Up 2.2% In July.

Water, electricity, gas and other fuels saw prices increase by over 5 per cent.

Prices were 2.2 per cent higher in July compared to the same month last year.

CSO figures show the cost of transport increased by almost 8 per cent.

Water, electricity, gas and other fuels saw prices increase by over 5 per cent.

However, there was a fall in the price of clothing and footwear, down over 7 per cent.

There was a slight decline in the cost of furnishings and household equipment.
