With 7% of adults showing signs of gambling addiction, campaigners urge better support services
Recent figures from the ESRI show around seven percent of adults are displaying signs of problem gambling, with campaigners warning families are often the ones most affected.
Releasing it's annual report today, In its annual report, the Gambling Awareness Trust said it saw over 2,600 people use its services last year, including 1,600 problem gamblers and 1,000 others affected by someone’s gambling according to reporting by journalist Sean Murray.
Today’s event brought together treatment providers, policy makers and those with lived experience to call for more accessible supports.
