A series of events and productions are set to highlight the significance of Ireland's 1926 Census in the coming weeks.
The National Archives of Ireland, in partnership with the Office of Public Works, will host the Exploring the 1926 Census Conference on June 4th. The full-day event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and expert insights examining the census as both a historical record and a modern resource.
Alongside the conference, a new production titled The Good Luck Club by ANU Productions will open at the National Archives on May 27th.
The census will also be explored on screen, with Come to your Census, a two-party documentary, set to air on RTÉ next month, supported by a six-part podcast series which has been released this week.
