Sinn Fein says the Affordable Housing Bill passed in the Dail last night has some good and bad aspects.
The Housing Minister says cost rental, a new form of housing tenure in Ireland, will now for the first time ever, be put on a legislative footing here.
It'll see the tenant pay the cost of delivering, managing, and maintaining the homes only, while councils will now be empowered to build homes at prices below open market levels.
