Naas was again, the largest town in terms of population.
The CSO has today released new figures in relation to Kildare's population.
Naas was the largest town, with a population of 26,180 in April 2022.
Of those towns with a population of at least 500 people in April 2022, Kilcock was the youngest, with an average age of 32 years.
The oldest was Ballyoulster, near Celbridge, with an average age of 48.6 years.
Nationally, the average age was 38.8 years.
In April 2022, 34% of Kildare’s usual residents (83,391 people) were born in the county.
A further 48% (117,103) were born elsewhere in the State.
The remaining 19% (45,759) were born outside the State, which was up from 16% in 2016.
