The proposal is aimed at helping businesses which are re-opening.
Consideration is to be given to the suspension of pay parking in Maynooth.
Kildare County Council says any suspension of the by-laws will be temporary.
It is proposing to councillors of the Clane Maynooth Municipal Districti that the suspension include parking enforcement "in various locations across the MD area"
It is designed "to facilitate the re-opening of businesses subject to S254 licence approval".
The matter will come before Friday's meeting of the MD for debate.
