The funding includes areas in Maynooth, Celbridge and Naas, Newbridge and Kildare Town
Over €15 million in regeneration investment has been announced for Kildare.
It includes €4.4 million for Harbour Field in Maynooth, €4.3 million for Murtagh’s Corner in Naas, €150,000 for the Donaghcomper Masterplan in Celbridge and another €150,000 towards design work for the Parochial House and associated lands in Celbridge.
In south Kildare, Kildare Town Community Centre on Dunmurray road received €6 million, while €150,000 was received for the Masterplan for Newbridge Central Settlement Consolidation Site
The package of funding was announced by Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne TD.
The funding is aimed at future development and regeneration of town areas, with a view to creating public spaces and vibrant town centres, as well as high-quality public amenities.
