Labour councillor Angela Feeney calls for facility to be planned alongside DART Plus as council agrees to contact National Transport Authority.
Kildare County Council is not responsible for the provision of park-and-ride facilities, a recent meeting of the Maynooth and Celbridge Municipal District has heard.
A motion was raised by Labour councillor Angela Feeney requesting that the council consider installing a facility to the west of Maynooth.
She said a park-and-ride should be planned alongside the DART Plus project.
However, the meeting was told the National Transport Authority is responsible for such developments, and the council has agreed to write to the NTA to explore the issue further.
