Steady Progress for Kildare's Walsh on LPGA Stage

Lauren Walsh finished tied for 61st at the Riviera Maya Open.

Kildare's Lauren Walsh completed her week at the Riviera Maya Open with a tied 61st finished on five-over-par following a final round of 75.

The Castlewarden golfer made a bright start to her final round with an opening birdie, but back-to-back double bogeys on the front nine proved costly.

Despite the challenges, Walsh continues to build experience at LPGA level, competing against a strong field in Mexico.

At the top of the leaderboard, world number one Nelly Korda claimed victory at 17-under-par, underlining the level of competition Walsh is competing against.
