100 intercounty appearances across 17 years
Leitrim's Emlyn Mulligan has announced his retirement after 17 seasons with the Leitrim senior footballers.
The 35-year-old forward made his debut in the 2006 Allianz Football League and was captain when the county won the FBD Insurance League for the first time in 2013.
The forward suffered a third cruciate ligament injury in 2017 and stepped away from the panel after 2019. Letrim's Division 4 final defeat to Derry was his first game at Croke Park.
He returned to the sqaud under new manager Mayo's Andy Moran last year.
Mulligan made his 100th appearance for Leitrim against Sligo in March last year
