There was a positive Irish showing in South Africa as three players made the cut and head into the weekend in solid positions.
Anna Foster, Aine Donegan, and Olivia Mehaffey all progress in the South African Women's Open.
Foster leads the Irish challenge after backing up her opening round with a three-under 70, leaving her five-under and inside the top 25. The Elm Park golfer mixed four birdies with a single bogey in a steady second round.
Donegan is just a shot further back after recovering well from a difficult front nine. The Clare native picked up four birdies on the back nine to card a one-under 72 and move into the top 35.
Mehaffey also improved on her opening round, posting a two-under 71 to comfortably make the cut, leaving all three Irish players with a platform heading into the final two rounds.
At the top of the leadership, Slovakia's Pia Babnik holds a three-shot lead after a six-under round of 67.
