Novak Djokovic's hopes of a record 25th Grand Slam title are over after the Serbian was beaten by Joao Fonseca.

French Open history was made yesterday (May 29th) as 19-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca came from two sets down to defeat Novak Djokovic and reach the fourth round in Paris.

The Brazilian youngster battled back to win 4-6, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 7-5, ending Djokovic's bid for a 25th Grand Slam title and guaranteeing a first-time major champion will be crowned this year.

The teenager produced a fearless display, saving key break points in the fourth set before sealing the biggest win of his career.

The defeat marks only the second time Djokovic has lost a Grand Slam match after leading by two sets.

Fonseca now advances to the last 16, where his remarkable run at the French Open continues.
