Kildare champs beat Portlaoise by 2-10 to 3-06
Eadestown march on to the semi finals of the Leinster Ladies Club Senior Football Championship.
The Kildare champs dug deep in injury time to record a dramatic 2-10 to 3-06 victory over Portlaoise in in Rathleague.
Eadestown had an ideal start, an early goal saw them leading by 4 points with just 2 minutes played.
Portlaoise hit back with their own goal to cut the deficit to a single point midway through the first half.
The visitors managed to pull away again with two unanswered points and led by 1-05 to 1-02 at the break.
A second goal put Eadestown in a great position midway through the second half.
However the home side managed to level the scores late on and then raised the green flag for a third time to move in front as injury time beckoned.
Eadestown refused to give in, hitting back to back points to claim victory by the narrowest of margins.
Manager Brian Willis says the narrow win will stand to his team.
Eadestown will now play either Milltown of Westmeath or Wicklow winners Tinahely, for a place in the Leinster final.
