Dundalk's unbeaten run came to an end as Sligo Rovers secured a 2-0 win.
Dundalk were beaten 2-0 by Sligo Rovers on Saturday evening, as the home side continued their recent run of form in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
Goals from Will Fitzgerald and Cian Kavanagh either side of half-time proved enough for Sligo, who made it three wins in a row and climbed up to seventh in the table.
Dundalk, who had been unbeaten in eight games prior to the trip, pushed for a response but were kept out by strong goalkeeping and determined defending.
The result sees a setback for Dundalk, but it shows Sligo's upturn in form.
