Connacht Secure URC Playoff Place

Connacht won in convincing style against Edinburgh 26-5 on Friday night.

Connacht have secured their place in the United Rugby Championship play-offs following a 26-5 victory over Edinburgh at the Hive Stadium.

Stuart Lancaster's side sealed a top-eight finish thanks to the bonus-point win, combined with Glasgow Warrior's victory over Ulster.

Connacht led 19-0 at half-time after tries from Josh Ioane and two from Shamus Hurley-Langton.

Matthew Devine added a fourth try in the second half, before Edinburgh scored a late consolation try through Ewan Ashman.

The result means Connacht finish the regular season on 54 points after winning eight of their last nine league games.
