Taoiseach Says EU-US Trade Deal Offers "Stability", While French President Says It's A "Dark Day For Europe"

A number of Irish business groups say the agreement is not a “great deal”, while the French Prime Minister calls it a “dark day for Europe”.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said the EU-US trade deal offers “stability” and avoids a trade war.

EU exports to America will be subject to 15 percent tariffs, under an agreement struck between Donald Trump and European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen yesterday.
