TDs and Senators will be briefed later on how children born through surrogacy need urgent legal protection.
Irish Families Through Surrogacy will hold a briefing at Leinster House later to highlight the need for the Health Assisted Human Reproduction Act, passed in 2024, to be enacted.
They say children born through surrogacy don't have full legal recognition of their relationship with both parents, which creates significant legal and practical challenge.
Kfm had recently reported on the issue and spoke to campaigner and mother-of-two, Lauragh Goggin.
