Restrictions lifted in schools from Monday.
Social distancing pods and bubbles are gone, and sporting activities, music, singing and breakfast clubs can all resume in schools from Monday.
It's part of new guidance issued to schools by the Department of Education last night , which is encouraging them to return to normal routines and activities.
Mask wearing will no longer be required, however anyone wishing to continue wearing a mask should be allowed do so.
General Secetary of the INTO, Leixlip Resident, Michael Gillespie commented: " There's a lot of anxiety around.
"Schools were controlled environments.
"But now from Monday we have a choice.
"I have faith in students and teachers to act responsibly," he added
President INTO, Joe McKeown: "The easing of restrictions in schools should have happen in a cautious and phased.
"We are concerned for the teachers that are pregnant and immuno compromised.
"The key issue in relation to masks is that people should wear them to prevent infection," he said.
"I think schools will continue to be sensible on Monday," he added
