RTÉ has revised its list of top 10 highest-earning presenters for 2024 to include Mr Mooney, after it said it had "reconsidered what constitutes a presenter".
He now appears eighth on that list, with a salary of €197,151, and the seventh highest paid presenter in the organisation in 2025, earnmin €202,264.
Mooney holds a dual role of producer and presenter and was only designated as a producer between 2020 and 2024.
RTÉ Director General, Kevin Bakhurst says his salary for the previous three years will also place him in the top ten earners.
Derek Mooney has now agreed with RTÉ to publish his salary from 2020 to 2023.
