Climate action minister Eamon Ryan will go to the UN climate summit in Glasgow after all, having pulled out last night over a positive Covid-19 test.
He’s since been given the all-clear by doctors.
All COP26 attendees were asked to take a PCR screen before travelling for the international summit on Climate change.
Minister Eamon Ryan had a swab taken on Friday night.
Although he had no symptoms, it came back positive for the virus yesterday.
Yesterday evening he said he couldn’t go and would stay at home to self-isolate.
However, the Minister was advised since by the HSE to take a second PCR test, which has returned a negative result.
The Green Party leader now plans to travel to Glasgow a day later than planned on Monday.
