Man in his 60s and woman in her 50s were questioned by Gardai
A man and woman who were arrested by Gardai investigating the murder of Baby John in Co Kerry almost 40 years ago have been released without charge.
An extensive, renewed inquiry into the death, has been ongoing since 2018, by Gardai in the Kerry Division, supported by the Garda Serious Crime Review Team.
The man in his 60s who was being questioned by Gardai investigating the murder of Baby John in Co Kerry almost 40 years ago, was released from Listowel Garda Station in the early hours of this morning.
The woman in her 50s who was arrested in connection with the same investigation was released yesterday.
A file will now be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Baby John's body was found with 28 stab wounds on White Strand just outside Cahersiveen almost 39 years ago.
Gardai had described Thursday night's arrests as a significant development in the cold case review of the investigation.
