Ireland's Developing A New Agreement For Nursing And Midwifery With Kenya

Kenya can't provide enough jobs for nursing graduates, while Ireland faces a shortage of staff.

Ireland's developing a new agreement for nursing and midwifery with Kenya.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says Irish and Kenyan officials will address nursing shortages in Ireland while investing in these professions in Kenya.

A new model for work and migration will be developed with the assistance of the World Health Organisation.

Both countries face different challenges.

Kenya can't provide enough jobs for their nursing graduates, while Ireland's facing a shortfall in nursing graduates to fill the country's vacant positions.
