Ireland is on track to meet its targets for 2030
Ireland has met all five of its EU Emissions Reduction Targets for major Air Pollutants.
These include ammonia, non-methane volatile organic compounds, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
The Environmental Protection Agency has reported the targets were complied with for 2024, and that Ireland is on track to meet its targets for 2030.
Particulate matter, which can have significant impacts on human health, is down by over two thirds.
