The 56-year-old died last week in a motorbike crash
Hundreds of people have gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin to witness the funeral of singer-songwriter Glen Hansard.
Mourners have travelled from America, Germany and beyond to pay their respects to the 56-year-old who died on July 29th in a motorbike crash in Lucan.
Around 150 members of the public will be allowed inside the church, with many queuing since early this morning to get a seat.
Thousands attended his public wake yesterday at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham including fans and fellow musicians.
Hansard's funeral takes place at 1.30pm.
He is survived by his brothers, sister, wife and young son.
