Climate Minister says prices at the pumps have fallen.
Climate Minister Eamon Ryan says excise and VAT measures on fuel are likely to increase again in March.
A number of reductions were introduced during 2022 to address the rising cost of petrol, diesel and home heating oil.
The cost of these fuels at the pump though has fallen in recent weeks due to increases in supply.
Hauliers say if the support measures are ended consumers will see price rises at shops and supermarkets.
Minister Ryan says however special measures may be introduced to assist the haulage sector.
