Fresh Blow For Metrolink As Programme Director Quits

Transport Infrastructure Ireland says he will be replaced by his Deputy in the interim

The Metrolink Programme Director is leaving his job.

Seán Sweeney says it is with deep regret, but he's confident it's the right move.

Mr. Sweeney says several years away from his home and family in New Zealand has become unsustainable.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland says he will be replaced by his Deputy in the interim, while an open competition for his successor will start soon.

Metrolink is currently in the early stages of issuing contracts, issuing invitations to tender and some sections are undergoing enabling works.
