Gardaí and Revenue officers have seized herbal cannabis worth an estimated €1.5 million during an operation in North Dublin.
A joint operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue Customs Service has led to the seizure of approximately 75 kilograms of suspected herbal cannabis in north Dublin.
The drugs, seized yesterday as part of an intelligence-led operation, have an estimated street value of €1.5 million.
One man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and is currently being detained at a Garda station in Dublin.
The seizure was one of three joint operations carried out by Revenue and An Garda Síochána on May 22nd, with controlled drugs worth an estimated €2.75 million seized in total.
