Dublin Fire Brigade say they’ve made 'good progress' in tackling a large blaze in Howth.

Three fire engines and a water tanker attended the gorse fire yesterday evening and local residents were advised to keep their windows shut to avoid the smoke.

An status orange fire warning expired yesterday afternoon but the service is appealing to the public to be extra careful around green areas as vegetation can dry out quickly.
