Foreign Affairs Minister says people have every right to protest
The Minister for Foreign Affairs says Irish people have every right to protest in a peaceful, firm, loud and clear way against Russian aggression.
Simon Coveney was responding to comments made by the Russian Ambassador in an interview on television in his home country.
Yuriy Filatov said protests outside the Dublin embassy are 'very aggressive' and claims his staff have received death threats.
Minister Coveney has called on protestors to demonstrate in an appropriate manner, but says Irish people are angry at the Kremlin, not ordinary Russians.
