Ambulance Workers Will Strike Again If Today's Talks Aren't Successful

Further industrial action had been planned for the coming weeks.

Unions representing ambulance workers say they are prepared to strike again if today's mediation talks don't produce a sufficient outcome.

Officials from SIPTU and UNITE will attend discussions with the HSE at the Labour Court from 10 o'clock this morning.

Members of the National Ambulance Service engaged in a work to rule on Monday and a full work stoppage on Tuesday in a row over pay.

Further industrial action had also been planned for May 16th, May 23rd, as well as dates in June.
