48-Hour Planned Strike By Frontline Ambulance Staff Called Off

Representatives from SIPTU and Unite met HSE management at the Labour Court in Dublin this afternoon

Unions representing workers in the National Ambulance Service have called off strike action planned for next Tuesday.

Representatives from SIPTU and Unite met HSE management at the Labour Court in Dublin this afternoon.

Union members staged a 24-hour work stoppage earlier this week in a dispute over pay and conditions.

SIPTU organiser John McCamley says next week’s strike has been suspended - but further industrial action the following week has not been ruled out:
