42 South African nationals have been deported from Ireland overnight.
The 9 men, 18 women and 15 children - who were all part of family units - left Dublin on a specially chartered flight yesterday afternoon, and arrived in Johannesburg at 4 o'clock this morning Irish time.
It's the 4th deportation flight so far this year, with Justice Minister Jim O' Callaghan saying the enforcement aspects of our immigration system are essential in ensuring public confidence in our laws.
