Variable Speed Limits Will Be Introduced On The M50.

The limit will be reduced from 100 kilometres per hour to as low as 30 on stretches

New variable speed limits on Dublin's M50 won't be legally enforceable until the end of the year.

The changes will be advisory when they start in the next few weeks for a section of motorway between Ballymun and Castleknock.

The speed limit will be reduced from 100 kilometres per hour to as low as 30 on stretches if there are accidents or poor road conditions.

Kildare resident, Seán O'Neill, is Corporate Communications Manager at Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
