The plant supplies over 50% of North Kildare and the Greater Dublin Area’s drinking water.
Uisce Éireann has begun the next phase of upgrades at Ballymore Eustace Water Treatment Plant, Ireland’s largest water treatment facility, which supplies over 50% of North Kildare and the Greater Dublin Area’s drinking water.
Following the recent completion of a €14 million upgrade, a new €33 million investment will enhance water treatment processes, including clarification and chemical dosing systems.
The works aim to secure safe drinking water for nearly 1 million people.
The upgrades will not impact customer supply and are part of wider efforts to manage increasing water demand in the region.
