Twelve Kildare primary schools have been awarded for curious learning.
The Curious Minds Awards recognise schools that embrace hands-on, inquiry-based approaches to science, technology, engineering and maths
To mark the announcement, hundreds of classrooms across Ireland joined a special online Curious Minds Awards ceremony hosted by television presenters Gráinne Bleasdale and Phil Smyth to celebrate this year's award recipients.
Among the gold winners were Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh, Mercy COnvent Primary School, Naas Community National School, North Kildare Educate Together National School, Presentation Girls School, Scoil Chorbain, Scoil Chóca Naofa, St Brigids N.S in Kilcullen, St.Brigid's National School in Ticknevin.
The silver winners were Scoil Bhríde and Rathmore National School.
And platinum awards, for schools that have already achieved the Gold Award and wish to further integrate STEM into their school culture, was won by Scoil Chearbhaill Uí Dhálaigh
