
It follows the cancellation of the Clane-Sallins-Naas town link bus.
There are calls for the Minister for Transport to increase capacity on the school transportation scheme this year.
Since the government waived the €500 fee as part of its cost of living measures, 130,000 people have applied for a free bus ticket.
That includes over 44,200 first time applicants.
As a result, many children were not able to secure a seat on the bus to get to and from school.
