Japanese toy and computer games company, Epoch, sued the SylvanianDrama TikTok account in April, citing that the videos could harm its brand and mislead viewers into thinking they were endorsed by the company.
Thea Von Engelbrechten, from Kildare, used the small dolls to create dramatic storylines, which often included drug misuse, violence and at times, murder.
Her TikTok account grew in popularity during the Covid-19 lockdowns, amassing 2.5 million followers and 66.3 million likes on TikTok.
According to RTÉ, the case, which was due to go before New York’s Southern District Court on August 14, was not tested in front of a jury.
Details of a settlement have not yet emerged.
In a recent post on the SylvanianDrama Instagram account, Engelbrechten announced she would be changing the account name and profile picture on August 19.
