Primary Schools Invited To Take Part In Foreign Language Pilot Programme.

Its aimed at children from 3rd to 6th class.

Primary schools are being invited to take part in a foreign language pilot programme.

The "language sampler module" will be targeted at third to sixth class students in more than 100 primary and special schools across Ireland,

The scheme, which has received €200,000 in funding, consists of one hour per week lessons over a six week period.

Fianna Fáil Kildare Senator, Fiona O'Loughlin, has been speaking to Kildare Today.

She says its a wonderful development.


Senator O'Loughlin joined Clem Ryan on Tuesday's edition of the programme.
