North Kildare Road Closure Extended By 2 Months.

Kildare County Council says its to facilitate laying of pipework.

Kildare County Council has confirmed the extension of a North Kildare road closure for another two months.

The Dunfeirth Park Road, from Timahoe to Knockanally, was due to re-open on August 28th.

It will now remain closed until October 29th, to enable pipe laying works to take place.

Alternative Routes

Eastbound vehicles travelling on the L-1004 (Dunfierth Park Road) must divert right onto the L-5013 (Timahoe Road) at Dunfierth Park crossroads (circa 6.04km) and then divert left at O’Brien Fine Foods and continue along the L-1017 (Donadea Road) (circa 5.28km). Vehicles will then divert left at Ballagh Woods crossroads onto the L-1008 (Newtownmoneenluggagh) (circa 4.08km) toward Knockanally.

Westbound vehicles travelling on the L-1008 (at Knockanally) must continue on the L-1008 (circa 4.08km) towards Ballagh Woods crossroads and turn right onto the L-1017 (Donadea Road) (circa 5.28km). Vehicles will then turn right onto the L-5013 (Timahoe Road) and travel towards Dunfierth Park crossroads (circa 6.04km).
