The operation took place on the M7.
Naas Roads Policing Unit have arrested a disqualified driver.
The motorist was detected driving at 146 kph on the M7 - the limit there is 120kph.
It was subsequently found the motorist was banned from the roads.
Gardai say court proceedings are to follow.
