The incident occurred in the Station Road area on Monday
Gardai in Newbridge are appealing for information after a man was robbed in the Station Road area on Monday, October 2nd.
The incident occurred at around 12.35pm that afternoon.
A male reported to Gardai that while walking home, the suspect approached him from behind and tapped him on his left shoulder.
The suspect then allegedly demanded that the man empty his pockets and produced a knife - the man subsequently handed over what money he had.
It is reported that the suspect then left on foot, travelling towards Piercetown.
The suspect is thought to have been wearing a cream jacket, grey bottoms, black nike runners, a black hat and had a grey snood covering up to the bridge of his nose.
