Kildare Set For Freezing Temperatures As Wintry Showers Forecast

Lowest temperature's in Kildare of -2 from tonight.

The weather is set to turn colder with wintry showers and even snow in places.

Met Éireann says temperatures could drop to minus four degrees, while some falls of sleet and snow are possible over the coming days.

Tonight will bring a mix of cloud and clear spells around the county with lowest temperatures of -2, with frost and ice developing on untreated surfaces.

It's expected to be mostly dry but very cold on Saturday and Sunday, while the colder conditions are predicted to last into next week.
