It sets out actions to support habitat recovery and restoration, species conservation, nature-friendly land management, community engagement, evidence-based decision-making and partnership working.
They key priorities outlined include protecting biodiversity-rich habitats, supporting recovery of degraded ecosystems and threatened native species, and strengthening ecological networks.
Other main areas include embedding biodiversity considerations across all areas of Council policy and service delivery, supporting communities in taking action and improving biodiversity data collection, monitoring and research to inform future conservation efforts.
