Kildare County Council Education Bursary Scheme has provided over €52,000 in support to local students this year.

The scheme is supported by funding from Kildare County Council and the Local Property Tax and received 109 applications.
The bursary programme aims to supports students and families by easing some of the financial pressures associated with further and higher education, the scheme also increases opportunities for skills development and future employment.
Commenting on the Bursary Scheme, Marian Higgins, Director of Services, Kildare County Council said: "The Education Bursary Scheme plays an important role in supporting access to education and creating opportunities for students across our county. We are delighted to have awarded funding to 82 students this year and wish all recipients every success in their educational journey".
