The Government is considering introducing new "time of day pricing" measures, to help bring down energy bills.
If introduced, it would see the cost of running appliances reduced at certain times, such as late at night or in the middle of traditional working hours.
Earlier this week, Electric Ireland became the latest company to announce a price hike, with bills set to rise by 23.4%.
