The expanded service will cover routes X25, X26, X27, X28, X30, X31, and X32, providing 25 morning departures and 20 evening departures.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) and Dublin Bus have announced the introduction of 45 daily peak-time bus services between Heuston Station and University College Dublin (UCD), starting Monday, March 3.
X services will commence from 6.40am in the morning, returning from 16.12 in the afternoon.
- X25 and X26 run from the Maynooth area
- X27 and X28 run from the Celbridge area
- X30 runs from Adamstown
- X31 and X32 run from the Leixlip area.
While X25, X27, X28 and X30 already run to UCD, they will now be picking passengers up at Heuston for the first time.
X26, X31 and X32 routes are being extended from the city centre to Belfield, and will also pick up passengers at Heuston.
Jeremy Ryan, NTA Director of Public Transport Services, stated that the decision to extend these routes was made in response to public feedback regarding the loss of a direct Heuston-UCD connection after the implementation of Phase 6a of the BusConnects Network Redesign.
Customers making a journey between Heuston and UCD outside peak times can avail of bus routes 4, C1, C2, C3, C4, 52 or 60 to the O’Connell Bridge area and interchange with the southbound E1 or E2.
