The money is earmarked for up-grade and realignment of the entrance.
Up-grades at Donadea Forest Park have been boosted by a grant of €345,000.
The monies will be used to realign the entrance, access and parking areas.
The funds have been allocated by the Dept. of Rural and Community Development.
Kildare North Fine Gael TD, Bernard Durkan, says “The area has become increasingly significant in the context of the provision of space, woodland and walkways for families throughout North Kildare and it will play an even bigger role in the future”.
“I can see no reason why Donadea Forest Park cannot become one of the major amenity areas of the country in line with other National Parks and similar developments”.
