Gardai told Kfm that the driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was brought to Naas General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of a van was brought to hospital in the early hours of this morning after a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the L8084 at the railway bridge at Rosetown, Athy.
The incident happened at around 12:20am.
It is understood that Iarnrod Eireann have carried out a survey to determine the extent of the damage caused to the 150-year-old bridge.
