It is not yet known if jobs at the Newbridge-based breweries will be impacted.
The Government has been told that Diageo is planning to cut its number of Irish-based jobs.
With its Irish headquarters based at Saint James's Gate, Dublin, and breweries located in Newbridge, the Guinness producer employs around 1,200 people in Ireland.
In a statement to Kfm News, a spokesperson for the Department of Enterprise said: "The Department received a notification of proposed collective redundancies from Diageo Ireland Unlimited Company on 22 June 2026".

Kfm News has contacted Diageo Ireland for comment.
Last month, Diageo opened its second brewery, Littleconnell Brewery, in Newbridge, at a cost of almost €300 million.
Further investment of €400 million is planned for Littleconnell over the next three years, including the addition of Guinness and Guinness 0.0 production.
